Our plans are to convert one into a 1bd 1ba with kitchen and living room. This will be our home for the time being while we convert 2nd into four bedrooms. We might add another container beisde it and add a kitchen and bathroom.
Or we make both into a 1bd 1ba home each and rent them out.
This will be our first bedroom or office.
We are laying out the floor plan around stored items which will be moved once we start building the walls.
This is the initial floorplan but the right cintainer has changed where the bathroom is now the bedroom/office.
We decided to go with 3 sets of concrete slabs at each end and one in center to ditribute the weight evenly.
We decided to place the containers 40ft apart. Our initial plan was to use this as our solar business garage. 56ft by 40ft: 2240sqft of space with 640sqft environmentally controlled. the other 1600sqft was going to be covered by a solar array as roofing. Now we plan to add a metal roof under solar. The solar we plan is a 75,900w solar array. It will provide power to a 5,000,000w battery storage. This provide power for our first stage of WV Apartments.
This was left over from our converting old recreational cabin to a rental studio. We plan to repurpose for our home conversion.

We bought this in 2013 and have invested all of our savings to convert to a rental studio. Our first of the WV Apartments Project.
We totally rennovated the entire structure by stripping down to frame to inspect conditions. then replaced any that needed replacing. We replaced the siding, roofing, windows, flooring, and interior walls. We also added a bathroom with an indoor laundry facility.
This roof was allowing water to enter cabin so we had to inpect for mold.
We removed old roofing down to frame and insulation. We inspected for mold and damages and replaced insulation and frames when needed. We replaced with new plywood and roll on roofing.
The first storm was brutal. Wind gusts tore our new roofing and we had to make repairs a few times.
The first repair was good till 2nd storm blew thru. 2nd storm tore over half of the roof and we basically replaced the entire roof.
This is when the exterior was done and we moved inside...
This bathroom was oversized to fit a laundry room inside.
I thought it would be awesome to have water rain down from above unlike conventional showers shooting me in the face... So I installed a rain shower and a complex conventional shower. You can decide which to use.
With limitation on floorplan of 420sqft, I wanted an indoor laundry room. I figured since I am adding an entire bathroom why not make it large enough for a laundry room too!?
It was a tenant who suggested an island and it has been our selling point since then.
Ceramic Tiles Greyed Wood Grain. From wall to wall including bathroom!
With everything we done... converting a recreational cabin to a rental studio. We thought about expanding since then. The WV Apartments was brought to life! Now we sell prebuilt off-grid container homes to fund the WV Apartments Project.
